Types of School Credit

There are three types of community service credit at Paly:

  1. Living Skills, 15 hours required during the semester.
  2. Transcript Records, at least 100 hours any time during your four years at Paly.
  3. President's Award Recognition, at least 100 hours within any 12 calendar-month period.
    gold Gold Award: 250+ hours
    silver Silver Award: 175-249 hours
    bronze Bronze Award: 100-174 hours

Obtaining School Credit

  1. Obtain Paly's Community Service Verification Form. The form can be retrieved from the College and Career Center in the Tower Building, or online.

  2. If you have 100+ hours within one calendar year, you may also obtain Paly's President's Service Award application, either at the C&CC or online.

  3. Fill in the verification form(s).

    For an hours breakdown, event-by-event, contact Molly Chen, the club secretary. NOTE: Hours are valid only if you have paid dues for that Key Club year.

  4. Give the filled-in verification form to the president, vice president(s), or secretary. The person will sign your hours for you.

  5. Turn the packet in to Ms. Christina Owen in the Community Service office of the College and Career Center. Congratulations! :)
